ADOPTED LOUNGE RULES

  1. The following shall be adhered to for admitance:
    • All members of The American Legion, Post 4, showing current American Legion card and spouse or escort.
    • All members of The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 4, showing current membership card and husband or escort.
    • All members of Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 4, showing current membership card and wife or escort.
    • All members of the American Legion Riders, Chapter 4, showing current membership card and wife or escort.
    • Out of town guests, if accompanied by American Legion, SAL, Riders or Auxiliary member showing a current membership card. Members are responsible for their guests and may not leave before their guests. Members of other American Legion Posts and guests MUST sign the Guest Book, (Haverhill CIty Regulation governing Private clubs).
  2. Legionnaires and guests are kindly requested to help keep the lounge clean and tidy. Per City ordinance, this is a SMOKE FREE FACILITY.
  3. The bartender, on duty, shall have full authority to enforce Lounge rules, while on duty; and may eject any member, or guest,  for misconduct or violation of Lounge rules. The members may have the right to appeal to the Executive Committee, if necessary.
  4. No member or guest shall reprimand any officer or employee of this Post. Furthermore, no Post business shall be discussed, outside of official meetings or closed door offices. Any suggestion(s) or criticism of the Lounge or Post operations should be submitted, in writing, to the Lounge Manager or Executive Committee or placed in the suggestion box near the fireplace and will be given due consideration.
  5. The bartender, on duty, may refuse service to anyone.
  6. To ensure the professionalism and integrity of service, bartenders are prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages following any shift, until the next business day.
  7. Any person removing, damaging or destroying property of The American Legion, Post 4, shall pay for the damage. Any Post property to be disposed of shall be justified to the Executive Committee for entry into the meeting minutes.
  8. The shall be NO alcoholic beverages consumed or brought into offical Legion, Unit, Squadron or Riders meetings.
  9. No intoxicated members or guests will be tolerated in the members lounge.
  10. Absolutely NO alcoholic drinks, of any kind, can be taken from the premises.
  11. Any illegal substances, used or brought onto Post property will result in ejection and disciplinart review by the Executive Committee.
  12. Absolutely NO alcoholic drinks, of any kind, are to be served or given to minors.
  13. Loud, boisterous or profane language will not be tolerated on Post facilities.
